CUT-TO-SIZE STEEL

Supply the Plate. Cut It for the Job.

Steel supply does not always end with a full plate. CBU Engineering can support material requirements with cut-to-size capability for fabrication, repair, mining and general engineering applications.

Plate can be supplied as material or prepared around the dimensions required for the next stage of the job.

01 CNC CUTTING
PLASMA CNC
CUTTING CAPABILITY UP TO 30 mm

CNC plasma cutting provides a practical route for preparing steel plate and fabricated profiles where the required material thickness falls within the plasma cutting range.

02 HEAVY PLATE CUTTING
OXY CUTTING
CUTTING CAPABILITY UP TO 300 mm

Oxy cutting extends the cutting capability into substantially heavier plate where thicker material needs to be prepared for repair, fabrication or heavy-engineering work.

STEEL SUPPLY + PREPARATION

Start With the Required Material. Finish With the Required Piece.

CBU can support both the steel requirement and the preparation of material for the next stage of the engineering process.

MATERIAL TO COMPONENT
The plate can arrive closer to the shape the job actually needs. Combine steel supply with cutting capability to reduce unnecessary material handling before fabrication, repair or installation.
STEEL FOR THE APPLICATION

The Requirement Determines the Material.

Plate selection starts with the work the material has to perform. Structural fabrication, wear protection, equipment repair and high-strength applications can place very different demands on the steel being used.

CBU Engineering supplies plate across structural, high-strength and wear-resistant ranges, with cutting and fabrication capability available where the project extends beyond material supply.

01
WEAR APPLICATIONS

Abrasion & Wear Protection

Wear-resistant plate can be used where steel is exposed to repeated material contact, abrasion and operational wear.

NM400 NM450 NM500
  • Bucket protection
  • Wear liners
  • Chutes and material-contact areas
  • Heavy equipment wear components
02
HIGH-STRENGTH APPLICATIONS

Strength Where the Structure Demands It

High-strength plate supports engineering work where the material requirement extends beyond conventional structural steel.

S690QL
  • Heavy engineered structures
  • Equipment components
  • High-load fabricated assemblies
  • Repair and replacement sections
03
STRUCTURAL PLATE

Fabrication & General Engineering

Structural plate supports a broad range of fabricated assemblies, repair sections and general engineering requirements.

S355JR-AR
  • Structural fabrication
  • Repair sections
  • Frames and assemblies
  • General engineering work
04
REPAIR & REBUILD

Material for Heavy Repair Work

Component rebuilds and structural repairs often require replacement steel that can be cut and prepared around the damaged section.

STRUCTURAL WEAR HIGH-STRENGTH
  • Section replacement
  • Equipment rebuilding
  • Mining equipment repairs
  • Workshop and field support

APPLICATION FIRST
Do not start with a plate. Start with what the plate has to do. Grade, thickness, dimensions and cutting requirements should follow the engineering application rather than being treated as separate material decisions.
STEEL IN APPLICATION

From Plate Stock to Working Steel.

Steel supply becomes more valuable when the material can move directly into repair, fabrication, wear protection or project work.

CBU Engineering combines steel supply with practical heavy-engineering capability, allowing material to progress from plate to prepared component or installed application.

MATERIAL IN SERVICE

Wear Plate Where the Contact Happens.

Wear-resistant steel can move from supplied plate into the surfaces and zones that experience repeated abrasion and material contact. Cutting and fabrication capability allows the material to be prepared around the actual component requirement.

  • Bucket and component protection
  • Custom wear sections
  • Repair and rebuild applications

02 PROJECT STEEL
SUPPLY + FABRICATION

Material That Can Move Into the Project.

Structural and heavy-engineering plate can form part of fabricated assemblies, replacement sections and project steelwork where the requirement extends beyond simple material supply.

STEEL + ENGINEERING
Supply the steel — or move it further into the job. CBU's cutting, fabrication and repair capability allows steel supply to connect directly with the engineering work the material is intended to support.
